Nine club members enjoyed the multitude of rose bushes, trees, perennials, greenhouse and water gardens at Fuller Gardens in North Hampton, NH on Sunday, August 17, 2014.   Afterwards, we enjoyed lunch at the waterfront in New Castle.  View the pictures here.

The club bought a bench as a memorial to Aja and it has been setup at the Historical Museum.  Members created a sitting area for the new bench on the right side of the steps into the museum and for the old bench on the left side of the stairs.  The ground was turned over and leveled and then weed-block fabric was laid down and covered with compost.  Here are some pictures from the last day of this project.

On Wednesday, May 28, 2014, seven members attended the NHFGC Annual Meeting held at Zorvino Vineyard and Winery in Sandown, NH.  Among the many awards presented that day, the club received 1st place for our scrapbook in the Extra Small Club category, a National Garden Club 'Grow' Award for an increase in membership the past year, and we share the President's District Bowl which Michelle Mensinger awarded to District IV. (That's our district in NHFGC, along with the Garden Clubs of Atkinson, Derry, Sandown, and Windham.)  Two members also received an award.  Laurel Lloyd was awarded a Silver Seal Citation for her efforts the past few years working with the Ellis School (grades 1-4 and their art teacher) to draw posters for the Smokey Bear / Woodsy Owl Poster Contest.  Mary Kaltenbach was presented with a Presidential Citation for her work on the NHFGC website.  Pictured below are the FGC attendees at the Annual Meeting.
